Many of us will have enjoyed many glasses of wine, beer, champagne or other alcoholic drinks during the winter holidays. Therefore, in January, we may feel the need to take a break from alcohol.

A month without alcohol is the best option we can do for our health.
Dry January is an initiative of the charity Alcohol Change United Kingdom that encourages people to stop drinking alcohol for a month at the beginning of the year. Many people from the world have participated in this initiative and reaped multiple health benefits.

It is logical to assume that drinking for 31 days is only good for your health.

A study by researchers from the University of Sussex in Falmer, UK, now shows how you can improve your life if you give up alcohol for a month, and concludes that these benefits are sustainable.

People who had drought in January 2018 reported higher energy levels and healthier body weight. They also felt lower levels of alcohol consumption months after participating in this initiative.
Just taking a month without alcohol helps people to drink less in the long term.

• 58% of the participants have decreased
• 57% reported a better concentration
• 54% reported better skin health.
