Of course, you probably know that any physical activity, even walking, is a blessing to your overall health. But above all, walking brings many benefits.
1. Neutralize the effects of genes that increase weight- The Harvard researchers found that among the study participants who walked fast for about an hour a day, the effect of these genes was cut in half.
2. It is useful to tame the craving for sweets- Some studies at the University of Exeter have shown that a 15-minute walk can reduce the desire for chocolate and even reduce the amount of chocolate eaten in stressful situations. A study of more than 1,000 men and women found that those who walked at least 5 minutes a day for at least 20 minutes a day had 43% fewer days of illness than those who exercised once a week or less. And when they got sick, it took less time and their symptoms decreased.
